Grand Rapids Ophthalmology, a partner of Blue Sky Vision, is looking for a Clinic Manager to join our growing team. The Clinic Manager is responsible for directing, planning, and coordinating all clinical office activities as well as being the liaison between management, office staff, and physicians. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and organizational skills while showing patients that we provide unsurpassed care right from the start.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Monitor and manage all aspects of the practices operations to continuously improve the patient experience and ensure every patient encounter is a positive one.

  • Consistently maintains excellent patient service
  • Resolves patient complaints by applying service recovery tools

Supervision and management of the clinical staff (approximately 30-40 employees)

  • Monitor daily function of location, resolving problems, and revising operations as needed to improve clinic flow.
  • Holds team members accountable for their job functions and responsibilities

Responsible for the selection, development, motivation, and evaluation of staff.

  • Regularly assess team members performance
  • Ensure regular communication to team members regarding the effective and efficient delivery of high-quality services.
  • Conduct human resource activities including development/improvement plans, corrective actions, staffing plans and the selection of team members for your practice.
  • Administer programs designed to build team member engagement and commitment among leadership and the team.
  • Support processes to identify and develop high-potential employees providing them with opportunities to grow and expand their career.

Support organizational growth and practice integration

  • Develop a keen understanding of Blue Sky Vision’s culture and business objectives and provide leadership within the practice location(s).
  • Administer programs designed to build team member engagement and commitment among leadership and the team.

Analyze the practice’s financial performance and in partnership with leadership, champion opportunities for improvement.

  • Management, implementation, and evaluation of operations/services to ensure quality, efficiency, and cost effectiveness.
  • Monitor key performance indicators.

Monitor daily function of location, resolving problems, and revising operations as needed

  • Ensure provider schedules are appropriately staffed
  • Involvement in the drug inventory process and medical supply ordering.
  • Remove roadblocks and facilitate conversations to ensure team members can effectively do their work.

EDUCATION

  • Minimum of bachelor’s degree or a minimum of 3-5 years management experience in a medical setting.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Ophthalmology experience preferred, but not required.
  • Excellent communication, listening, interpersonal and customer service abilities.
  • Ability to interact with patients, medical and administrative staff, and the public effectively.
  • Organized and ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills (decision making, problem-solving, delegation, prioritizing) and supervisory experience required.
  • Proven ability to provide direction and inspire others.
  • Ability to think critically, evaluate, and analyze
